FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Propeller?
Propeller is an AI social media scheduler built for Shopify stores. It schedules and publishes to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, but its real job starts earlier: it recommends what to post. Propeller reads your catalog, your store profile, and the trends in your category, then hands you your next post with the image and captions already drafted.
How is Propeller different from other social media schedulers?
Most schedulers solve timing: you bring the content, they publish it. Propeller solves the harder half, deciding what to post. Every recommendation is grounded in your actual store, your products, your positioning, your category's trends, and arrives ready to publish. You start from a finished draft, not a blank page.
Does Propeller post anything without my approval?
No. Propeller proposes; you decide. Every recommendation waits for you to schedule it, and you can edit the image and captions before anything goes out. Scheduled posts publish at the time you chose, and that is the only automatic part.
Where do the recommendations come from?
From your store. Propeller builds a profile of your business from your catalog and public store content: what you sell, who you serve, how your brand sounds. It combines that with trends it watches in your category and turns the match into a drafted post. You can see everything Propeller has learned about your store on its Brain page, inside the app.
What does Propeller access? What about my customers' data?
We do not access personal and customer information, only anonymous app usage analytics. Your store's knowledge base is yours alone: it is built from your products and content, stays isolated to your store, and is never used to train another store's experience.
How does revenue attribution work?
Propeller counts revenue from shoppers who bought after clicking one of your posts, and shows it in your dashboard next to your engagement numbers. It is an honest measure: when there is not enough data yet, Propeller says it is measuring instead of showing a made-up zero.
Which platforms can I publish to?
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. One post can carry a different caption for each platform, and you can preview exactly how it will look on each before scheduling. Propeller can also draft blog articles straight into your Shopify blog.
Can I still create my own posts?
Yes. Recommendations solve the blank-page problem, but the manual path is always there: create a post from any product in your catalog, or compose from scratch, in the same editor. Sales, launches, and holidays are yours to announce; Propeller handles the week in between.
Do I need anything besides my Shopify store?
Just your social accounts. Propeller lives inside the Shopify admin, so there is no separate login or new tab. Install it from the Shopify App Store, connect the accounts you publish to, and you are set. You can explore your recommendations before connecting anything.
How much does it cost?
The Growth plan is USD 80 per month, or USD 720 per year (25% off). Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, so you can see your first recommendations before paying anything.
What happens right after I install?
Propeller starts reading your store and drafting your first recommendations within minutes, and you can watch them arrive. Your first ideas are usually ready before you finish connecting your social accounts.
What is next for Propeller?
Propeller is built to keep growing. The engine that reads your store and drafts your posts improves continuously, and new features land in the app regularly. On the roadmap: support for more social platforms, and a standalone version of Propeller for businesses that don't run on Shopify. If there is a platform or feature you are missing, tell us; merchant requests shape what we build next.
